When you use our services, you entrust us with your information. In this privacy policy, we specify what data we collect, why we collect it, and how the data is used.

We care about your personal privacy and want to be as clear as possible about how your personal data is processed. We provide information about your rights to access your stored personal data, how to update it, and how to delete it.

1. Information we collect

By collecting information, we can improve our services for all users. We collect data that you provide and data we receive when you use our services.

1.1 Information you provide

You need an account to use our services or purchase our products. When you register an account, we ask for personal details, such as your email address, phone number, billing address, delivery address, and organization number or personal identification number.

1.2 Information we collect when you use our services

We collect information when you book a service in our booking system about what services you use, how you use them, what products you purchase, and how much you buy. The purpose is to collect visit statistics using Google Analytics, and we show ads from Google Adsense. This means that information about how you use our services is stored on Google’s servers. The booking system is not linked to our payment system, so we cannot retrieve data afterwards about exactly which service and day you booked and paid for.

1.2.1 Device Information

We collect information about the specific device used (e.g., hardware model, operating system version, unique device ID, and mobile network information, including phone number).

1.2.2 Log Information

When you use our services or view content provided by us, certain information is automatically collected and stored in server logs. Log data includes the following:

  • Information about how you used our service, such as your search queries.
  • Information about telephone calls, such as your phone number, the number you are calling, forwarding numbers, call lengths, SMS routing information, and call types.
  • IP address.
  • Information about events on your device, such as crashes, system activity, hardware settings, browser type, browser language, date and time of your request, and referring URL.
  • Cookies that can identify your browser.
1.2.3 Location Information

When you use our services, we may collect and process information about your location. We use various technologies to determine your location, including IP address, GPS, and other sensor data from your device that may inform us about nearby Wi-Fi access points and cell towers.

1.2.4 Local Storage

We may collect and store information (including personal data) locally on your device using features such as the browser’s storage space (including HTML5) and application caches.

1.2.5 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our business partners use various technologies to collect and store information when you use our services. This may involve using cookies or similar technologies to identify your browser or device. A cookie is a small file containing a string of characters sent to your computer when you visit a website.

2. How we use the information we collect

The information we collect from our services is used to provide, maintain, protect, and improve our services, to develop new services, and to protect Boda Borg and our users. We may use your name, email address, and public description to describe you to other users of our service, for example when you actively contact another user or when you write a review. When you contact us, we store your messages in order to resolve any issues you may be facing. We may use your email address to inform you about our services, such as telling you about upcoming changes or improvements. The information we collect using cookies and other technologies, such as pixel tags, is used to improve the user experience and the overall quality of our services. One of the products we use for this purpose in our own services is Google Analytics. By saving your language settings, we can, for example, display our services in the language you use. When we show customized ads, we do not link identifiers from cookies or similar technologies to sensitive categories of personal data, such as those based on ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or health conditions. If we want to use information for a purpose other than described in this privacy policy, we first ask for your consent. We manage personal data and other information on our servers in many countries around the world. Your personal data may be processed on a server in a country other than the one you reside in.

3. Transparency and Choice

Different users have different views on privacy. We want to be clear about what information we collect so that you can make informed decisions about how it is used. For example, you can:

  • Choose whether your email address and name should be visible in your reviews and comments.
  • Access information about your saved personal data.
  • You can turn off cookies by changing your browser’s security settings, and you can also delete previously stored cookies via your browser’s settings. Remember that many of our services may stop functioning if you disable cookies.

4. Information you share

In many of our services, you can share information with others. Remember that information you share publicly may be indexed by Google and other search engines. In our services, you can choose how to share and remove content.

5. Access and update personal data

We want you to be able to access your personal data whenever you use our services. If the data is incorrect, we want to give you the ability to easily update or delete it, provided the information does not need to be retained for valid business purposes or legal reasons. We aim to keep our services in such a state that information is not destroyed by accident or through harmful processes. When you delete information in our services, it may take some time for copies of the deleted information to disappear from our active servers. Additionally, the information may remain in our backup systems.

6. Information we share

We do not share personal data with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of Boda Borg except in the following situations:

6.1 With your consent

We share personal data with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of Boda Borg if you have allowed us to do so. We need your active consent to share sensitive personal data with others.

6.2 For external processing

We may forward personal data to our affiliated companies or other trusted companies and individuals who are assigned to process the information on our behalf, according to our instructions, this privacy policy, and all other appropriate measures for privacy and security.

6.3 For legal reasons

We share personal data with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of Boda Borg if we have good reason to believe that access, use, retention, or disclosure of such data is reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or mandatory requests from authorities.
  • Ensure that applicable terms of service are followed, including investigating any violations of them.
  • Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security issues, or technical problems.
  • Protect against harm to the rights, property, safety, users, or the public as required or permitted by law. We may share non-personally identifiable information publicly and with our partners – such as publishers, advertisers, or affiliated websites. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends in how our services are used in general. If Boda Borg were to be involved in a merger, acquisition, or any other form of sale, we would ensure the confidentiality of all personal data and notify affected users before their data is transferred or falls under a different privacy policy.

7. Data security

We are continuously working to protect Boda Borg and our users from unauthorized access or unauthorized changes that may reveal or destroy information we hold.

  • We encrypt many of our services with SSL.
  • We review our data collection, storage, and processing practices, including physical security measures, to protect against unauthorized access to our systems.
  • We limit access to personal data to our employees, suppliers, and agents who need the data to process it on our behalf. They are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and can be disciplined or terminated if they do not meet the requirements.

8. Changes

Our privacy policy may change from time to time, and any changes will be published on this page. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice.
