About Boda Borg and Questing

A Quest is a themed challenge that immerses you and your team in different worlds, putting your teamwork to the test. How coordinated and quick-thinking are you? This is not a video game or virtual reality – everything happens in real life. Some Quests are more physically demanding, others challenge you mentally, and some combine both. The common thread is that they’re all time-based. You can read more on the page This is Questing.

As many as you can! With an entry ticket, you have unlimited access to all the Quests, and you can try solving them as many times as you like.

No, you will never be locked inside a Quest. You can always exit, even if you don’t complete the challenge or wish to leave early.

Some Quests may be available at multiple locations, but no location is identical to another. We have over 300 different Quests in total across our various locations. Plenty to choose from!

Most of our locations offer free Wi-Fi. Ask at the reception of the location you’re visiting, and they’ll assist you.

The majority of our visitors are adults, but Boda Borg is also popular among children. There tends to be more children on weekends and during school holidays. However, in terms of noise, it usually doesn’t make much of a difference – from experience, we know that adults can be just as noisy (even if they don’t think so themselves). 😉

Plan your visit

Saturdays and Sundays are popular, so you may need to book a week or two in advance. Weekdays during regular weeks are easier to get a spot on, but if you want to come in the afternoon or evening, you might need to book ahead. During holidays and special seasons, like Christmas, we have a lot of guests, so it’s a good idea to book at least one week in advance. Our most popular periods, especially Boda Booooo, often get fully booked, and we recommend booking a few weeks ahead.

You do not pay for a specific Quest; one entry gives you unlimited access to all the Quests at the facility. Prices may vary slightly between locations. See more under the “Prices & Packages” tab

Payment is made on-site here with us, so you don’t pay anything when booking. If you are a larger group, we appreciate if one person comes to the reception and pays for the entire group, as this will help both your group and others get started faster.

Age limits may vary slightly between locations and countries. Contact the location you wish to visit for specific details. In general, the following applies:

– Children between the ages of 6 and 10 must have an adult in their team.
– Children from 11 years old can participate in the Quest on their own, but we recommend that an adult be present during the visit.

A team should consist of 3–5 people, but if you are more, you can compete in multiple teams against each other. A Boda Borg facility can accommodate hundreds of Guests.

We recommend wearing comfortable shoes, such as sneakers or sports shoes – easy and fast! It’s also not uncommon to get sweaty when you’re Questing… so choose something you can both jump, crawl, and climb in! You can store warm outerwear and sweaters in lockers at our facility. We sell locks for 20 SEK, but you can also bring your own.

Nope! You don’t need to bring anything other than yourselves, comfortable clothes, and a pair of comfy shoes.

When you quest

Sure! You can change teams as much as you like during your visit, it’s entirely up to you. Just keep in mind that teams should consist of 3 to 5 people, and children between 6 and 10 years old need to have an adult in their team.

It completely depends on your team. A Quest consists of challenges in several steps, and each time someone makes a mistake in a step, you’ll have to start over. It can take many attempts before you succeed – especially if it’s your first time. A fast team might complete a Quest in just a few minutes from start to finish, but that’s rare! There are also teams that take on our hardest Quests and refuse to give up, battling for hours. What kind of Quester are you?

The shortest session is two hours. You can also purchase a five-hour pass. However, if you feel done earlier, you are of course welcome to leave before your time is up. We do recommend not doing less than two hours of Questing, especially if it’s your first time – it usually takes a while to really get into it!

Everything that is part of the Quest is free to touch. But remember – you should never use force to solve a Quest, and anything that is fixed in place should stay in place. There are things in the Quests that are not part of the Quest and should never be touched. This could include things like fire alarms and exit signs.

For groups and companies

It’s usually possible! Contact the Boda Borg location you’re interested in, and we’ll assist you.

Absolutely! All of our locations offer a variety of conference and group packages that include a conference room. Contact your local Boda Borg for specific options.

Disabilities

Our black Quests are primarily physically challenging (but also require some strategy). Red Quests are a balance of both physical and mental challenges. Green Quests only challenge the brain and can therefore be suitable for those with physical disabilities or limitations. Feel free to contact us if you’re unsure, and we’ll provide more information.

Safety and Health

With over twenty years of experience and millions of visitors worldwide, we know that Questing is a safe activity. However, Questing takes place in the real world. It involves real people in real games, and while it’s rare, it’s not impossible to get bruises or scrapes. Sometimes someone might bump their head or twist an ankle, but if you stay alert, there should be no issues. If something does happen, we are always there to assist.

– We always follow the current recommendations from authorities such as the Public Health Agency of Sweden and the WHO (World Health Organization). We have hand sanitizers placed throughout the premises for Guests and staff. Door handles to our Quests and other frequently touched surfaces are sanitized daily.

– We recommend that all Guests wash their hands before entering the Quests. All Boda Borg locations have plenty of restrooms with sinks, warm water, and soap.

– If you are not feeling fully well, we ask that you stay home and reschedule your visit for another time. This also applies to our employees, who are required to report sick or work from home until they are fully recovered.

Inside the Quest rooms and in the corridors, the noise level can be quite high and there may be some noise if we have many visitors. However, it is usually quieter in our reception areas, restaurants, and conference rooms. So, there is always somewhere to take a break if needed.

Most of our Quest rooms are not scary at all. However, there may be parts of some Quest rooms that could be perceived as a bit more frightening than others. If you’d like to avoid them, we will of course assist you at the reception and let you know which ones to look out for.

Food and Drink

You are very welcome to our restaurants! Some locations also have dining areas for bringing your own food. However, food and drinks are not allowed inside the Quests – but you can still expect to be fully immersed in the mission. 😉
